Italy Prevention Drive: 300 Volunteers, 500,000 “Truth About Drugs” Booklets Distributed

Milan, 12 February 2026 — Around 300 volunteers have been active since January nationwide in a prevention-through-information campaign, circulating information resources titled “The Truth About Drugs”. Organisers report that over 500,000 copies have already been handed out, with Milan at the forefront and wider participation growing.

The European Office of the Church of Scientology is among those supporting the campaign within its broader support for drug education and prevention initiatives inspired by eu newspapers the work of L. Ron Hubbard. The materials aim to provide clear, accessible information about commonly abused substances and their risks.

Athlete engagement is also cited by organisers. They say over 100 Milano Cortina 2026-linked athletes have signed the Foundation for a Drug-Free World Honorary Register, backing prevention messaging aimed at young people. Organisers argue, sport offers a credible setting for prevention messaging because it is associated with discipline, recovery and mental focus.

Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, stated: “Protecting young people is a public-health priority and a civic responsibility across Europe. Clear, verified information supports informed choice and autonomy, and it helps communities reduce the social space in which criminal networks operate.”
